As the company continues to expand in the Latin American market, ADJ is preparing to showcase its latest products at the Sound:Check Xpo in Mexico City. On display will be the new ElectraPix Series of robust and versatile battery-powered wash fixtures, as well as the latest additions to the company’s Vizi and Hydro Series of automated luminaires. Cyprus’ Face Club Creates ‘Wow Factor’ With New ADJ Fixtures
One of the biggest and best nightclubs in the city of Limassol on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, Face Club has recently undergone a complete redesign of its lighting system. For the 2023-24 winter season, the venue’s owners invested in new ADJ Vizi Beam 12RX moving heads, Jolt 300 LED strobes and Pixie Strip 120 linear LED fixtures. In addition, the team from local ADJ supplier and installation specialists SP MegaSound Ltd serviced and redeployed a variety of the club’s existing ADJ fixtures, many of which have already provided years of reliable service. The result is an impressive and versatile lighting system, which can be adapted to the variety of musical styles featured at the venue and envelops the large club with light, color and movement.
ADJ Lighting Creates The Atmosphere For Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Opening Weekend In Calgary
A variety of ADJ LED-powered luminaires were utilized by production company Digital Media Integrations to create an interactive experience in the foyer of Cineplex Cinemas Seton for the opening weekend of the new Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movie. Moving heads, including Focus Spot 6Z and Focus Flex L7 fixtures, as well as static wash lights, were used to fill the space with atmospheric color, vivid GOBO projections and moving effects. Together with two other smaller promotions at other local cinemas, the event – run in partnership with fan group, the Alberta Ghostbusters – raised over $11,000 for Alberta’s two children’s hospitals.

Twelve of ADJ’s Focus Spot 7Z moving head luminaires have been installed in the new Midco Arena at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Supplied by local technical specialist Pinnacle Productions, the lights are the crowning jewels of the 154,000 square-foot arena. They are utilized extensively to enhance the production of home games for the Augustana Vikings through custom GOBO projections, spotlighting player entrances, washing the ice in vibrant colors, and creating intricate texture patterns.

A variety of ADJ fixtures, including Focus Spot 6Z moving heads and 12PX HEX pars, have been installed as part of a complete renovation of the Diamondback Music Hall in Detroit, MI. The lighting rig, designed by Ryan Richards and supplied by Audio Rescue Team, provides a versatile solution for the venue, which hosts a mixture of live music performances and dance parties.
ADJ Fixtures Shine At UK’s Lakefest
90 ADJ fixtures were utilized last year to illuminate the main stage at Lakefest, a rapidly growing family-friendly music festival held in the picturesque grounds of Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Hereford, England. Featuring headline sets from Johnny Marr (of the Smiths), electronic music outfit Clean Bandit, indie rockers Embrace, and pop-punk band McFly, each with full supporting line-ups, the four-day festival attracted a sell-out crowd of 20,000. Lighting for the main stage was supplied by up-and-coming production company ProLX Productions, which utilized its stock of Focus Spot 6Z, Focus Spot 4Z and Vizi Beam RXONE automated fixtures, as well as static 32 HEX Panel IP and 12P HEX IP LED wash luminaires, to create a bold and versatile rig capable of adapting to a varied musical lineup.

Meanwhile, Production Designer Scott Cunningham was impressed by the units’ solid build quality, versatility, and affordability.
